Professional Counselor Associate

I believe that through deeper understanding and radical acceptance, we can cultivate change, as well as more compassion for ourselves and for others. I believe that especially challenging times can be an opportunity to gain more self-awareness, explore our narratives, and to grow. As you guide our work, I offer a caring, non-judgmental space for you to explore your values, find strength, to heal, grow, and better live a life that aligns with your authenticity.

As a trans and queer person, I’ve been acquainted with some of the many issues that can come along while exploring, becoming, and living as your most authentic self. I strive to recognize the ways in which my privileged and marginalized identities show up in my work, and life, and to practice cultural humility.

I specialize in working with people experiencing LGBTQ+ issues, anxiety, depression, sexual issues, and low self worth or self-esteem. I let my work be guided by an ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), existential therapy, and a compassion-focused therapy approach. I am honored to be able to do this work and honor the courage it takes to want to heal, grow, and be seen.

Outside of being a counselor, I am a musician, book lover, nature lover, and a parent. In and out of the therapy office, I prioritize helping to create an equitable society for all.

As an LPC associate, I am supervised by Dr. Angela Harman, Psy.D.
