Child
Counseling

Does your child need help working through big feelings? Do they seem to worry a lot, seem weighed down, sad, or lonely?

While facing obstacles in childhood is a normal part of growing up, sometimes kids need help learning the skills to navigate life’s curveballs. Child counseling offers the opportunity for your child to learn and practice new skills, and a safe space to explore big feelings. We can help your child learn to communicate their thoughts, feelings, and emotions in a helpful way.

Whether it be grief, trauma, impulse control, issues related to LGBTQ+ identity, or more, together, we can look at anything that the child is struggling with and collaboratively find solutions and support.

By offering children a safe, fun, and understanding therapy experience that uses play, creativity, and evidenced-based approaches, we can help kids get back to doing what they’re best at—having fun and being kids!

All child counseling at Full Spectrum requires caregiver involvement in the form of family counseling/consultation at a frequency determined by the clinician.

Session lengths vary based on the needs of the child and caregivers, typically ranging from 30-55 minutes.
