Kate Mordarski

Licensed professional counselor

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Oregon. I graduated from Lewis & Clark with a degree in Counseling Psychology with emphases in Addictions and Eating Disorders Treatment. My experience in the mental health field has varied from Residential Dual Diagnosis treatment to Crisis Services to Inpatient Clinical Review to Outpatient Mental Health.

I primarily view therapy as a way to support clients through a change process, and use a Feminist and Anti-Oppressive lens to provide a safe, non-judgemental, and supportive environment to all my clients. I have experience and training in working with the LGBTQ+ community, and primarily use Narrative, Person Centered and Mindfulness Therapy in session. I also have training and experience in Motivational Interviewing as well as Dialectical Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment, Cognitive Behavioral, and Polyvagal Therapies.

I strive to support clients in being authentic and feeling empowered, and use collaboration and humor in session. I am excited to explore what brings meaning and joy to clients’ lives, as I believe they are essential to improved mental health. Outside of session, I enjoy spending time with family and community, whether it’s riding my bike, baking up a storm, spending time with family, or playing video games.
